The singles cruise departs

As this is not a very long singles cruise, we're departing fast, at 4pm. Boarding to the Carnival's Ecstasy ship will start at about 1pm, so don’t arrive at 3:55PM (know what I mean?) Then a few minutes after unpacking in your cabin and having our welcome meeting (in which we also give all our singles cruise package attendants some helpful instructions) and the cruise will be all yours.

About the singles cruise ship

The Ecstasy has many things you can come and enjoy. Those food connoisseurs on board will find a wide variety of palate pleasing dishes in the Wind Star and Wind Song dining rooms. Or if you just want a burger and fries, grab it at the Lido deck restaurant. Java time? This ship has its own Starbucks, just joking, but it does have a great coffee bar; and those who want a drink head to the Neon Piano Bar, as they can enjoy music from all decades as well.

Sports lovers will find the Carnival's Ecstasy ideal. It not only has its own jogging track, but also a mini golf, a gym, spas (both for boys and girls, of course). But if your idea of recreation is more of the one-armed bandit style then head to the Crystal Palace Casino and try to break the bank. The ship even has its own arcade, should you want to re-live your glory days as the neighborhood video game champ.

For your convenience if you need to keep in touch with someone on shore, the Ecstasy has Internet Cafes with Wi-Fi connections. If you feel the need to buy a gigantic bottle of perfume, the duty-free store on-board can help you out. And for all else the staff and crew of the Ecstasy are there for you.

The destination

As this is just a 4-night singles cruise, we are heading to just one spot, but what a destination: The beautiful island of Cozumel in Mexico.

Cozumel is near Cancun. It was a refugee for pirates a few centuries ago, but now, it is quite renown today for its water activities. People say that snorkeling here is a must, but scuba diving and surfing are also available. If you scuba, go down to see the bronze statue of Jesus Christ which is down at the bottom of the ocean. Cozumel will give you a great opportunity of getting a good suntan before coming back home. We are spending 8 hours here, going to Palancar Reef, this island's most popular place.

Then we head back to Galveston.

This singles cruise to Cozumel will end on July 20th at about 8am. We're ready to go back to our daily lives after that, but vowing to return, for sure.
